Percolation tincturing is a way of preparing an herbal extract from dried powdered herbs. Its primary advantage over maceration tincturing is that your medicines can be finished in mere hours, instead of waiting weeks to months. Percolation can also help increase the strength of the finished tincture.
This class will cover the practical steps to make a percolation tincture. Along the way, we’ll discuss the details of tincturing, including calculation of herb-to-menstruum ratio for determining tincture strength, DIY percolation cone production, reasonable batch variation, and organoleptic assessment of the finished product.
