Do something different for lunch! Join us for a fun, informative herb walk with the plants along the Charles River!

There are over 40 different species of medicinal plants growing along the river between Harvard Square and Central Square!

The ability to identify and use each of these plants was once commonplace to every man, woman, and child, but today most of us have lost that knowledge. Come reclaim what's yours! Join us regularly throughout the spring, summer, and early fall and learn the plants in all of their stages of growth. By the end of these sessions, you'll feel confident in your ability to identify the plants along the river - and you'll how know you can work with them!

12:15pm - 1:15pm

Meet at the Harvard Weld Boathouse on the corner of JFK and Memorial Drive between noon and 12:15. We'll leave promptly at 12:15, and return by 1:15. Feel free to bring a notebook or sketchbook, camera, etc. The fee for the herb walk is $10.

Herb walks are "Sprinkle or Shine!" - if it's just damp or a bit drizzly, we'll walk anyway. If it's raining enough to need an umbrella, that makes it hard to learn, so we will cancel in that event.

Interested in having us come and do an herb walk somewhere in particular? Let us know!
