This week we’re featuring Chamomile, Matricaria recutita.

If someone told me that i could only work with one herb for the rest of my life, i would choose Chamomile. Honestly, i think there’s no problem that doesn’t get better with Chamomile! It’s calming and competent: which is also the kind of person that i want to be for the people in my life!

Plus, Chamomile is a perfect end-of-the-year herb: this quiet time as we wrap up the old year but the bustle of the new year hasn’t really started yet. It’s time for us to reflect on what has been and what could be – and also time to rest from everything that we’ve done this year. But sometimes it’s hard to rest: we’ve been busy for so long that we forget how to put that aside and just have some stillness for a few days.

Chamomile remembers 🙂

Chamomile is another herb that is very safe herb for all ages, with very low potential for drug interactions. And it’s another one of our polycrest herbs – a plant who can do many different things. Often people discount Chamomile’s power and efficacy because it’s so common – but actually, the reason it’s common is because it’s so powerful and so helpful in so many different kinds of situations!
